Mitsubishi previewed the vehicle and six others ahead of Tokyo Auto Salon 2022.

Mitsubishi’s Ralliart was rampaging the rallying world in the 1980s and '90s. In fact, Tommi Makinen ruled this world from 1996 to 1996 with Ralliart’s Lancer Evolution racer. But Mitsubishi axed Ralliart in 2005 for some reasons. Perhaps egged by Toyota’s recent berserk in the World Rally Championship, Mitsubishi is reviving its Ralliart division, and it will be showing related JDM concepts at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2022.

The Vision Ralliart Concept is an embodiment of Mitsubishi’s vision for the new Ralliart. A result of combining the carmaker’s engineering and passion for Monozukuri challenges, the Vision Ralliart mixes high performance, premium looks, and impressive presence as well as a comfortable ride in various weather and road conditions.

To endow the Vision Ralliart with a high-performance character, Mitsubishi gave the concept a wide stance, 22-inch large-diameter wheels and tires, as well as massive brake discs and opposed-piston 6-pot brake calipers.

Appearance-wise, the Vision Ralliart boasts a bold, muscular styling thanks to its functionally beautiful front and rear bumpers and large, widened front and rear over fenders. The Vision Ralliart also expresses its race car-level of sportiness via with front grille with a radiator shutter and its massive rear diffuser. Interestingly, the concept matte black body shows blue highlights when hit by light.

On the other hand, Outlander Ralliart Style and the Eclipse Cross Ralliart Style imagine how customers can dress up their Outlander and Eclipse Cross units using Ralliart accessories. Both Tokyo Auto Salon-bound concepts aim to attract and excite new customers to the resurrected Ralliart sub-brand.

Mitsubishi painted the bodies of the Outlander Ralliart Style and the Eclipse Cross Ralliart Style in premium, high-brightness White Diamond color, while finishing their front, side, and rear garnishes and the liftgate spoilers in red. Featuring side decals and mud flaps with the Ralliart logo, the concepts complete their Ralliart looks with black-painted alloy wheels.

Ralliart accessories also adorn another Tokyo Auto Salon-bound concept – the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 Tough x Tough. Essentially an overlanding concept, this Delica model is off-road ready thanks to various aftermarket parts, including modified shock absorbers and springs, 16-inch alloy wheels and all-terrain tires, as well as front bumper guard, rear bumper guard and mud flaps.

Ralliart accessories help emphasize this capability with matte black front grille and fender garnish, as well as red door mirrors and fog light garnish. A roof carrier, a rooftop tent and a sleeping pad complete the overlanding character of this Delica concept.
