If you want the ultimate Chevrolet Camaro, then the current ZL1 could be perfect thanks to its potent 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 650 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. However, when it comes to modern Camaro models that have character, the Z/28 is hard to beat.

The most recent Camaro Z/28 was based around the fifth-generation car and was built for just a couple of years. Chevrolet thought about bringing it back for the sixth-generation Camaro but sadly decided not to. Fortunately, there are used Z/28s that hit the market from time to time and this example is one of the finest currently available.

Listed up for auction through Bring a Trailer, this 2015 Z/28 is one of 1,292 examples produced for that model year. It is finished in a paint known as Red Hot and sits on its factory 19-inch forged wheels painted black and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Adding to the looks of the muscle car is a black front splitter, side skirts, rear lip spoiler, rear diffuser, and silver brake calipers.

The cabin looks quite outdated by current Camaro standards but does feature Recaro front seats clad in black leather with suede microfiber inserts. There is also a suede-wrapped steering wheel, a suede shift knob, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/SiriusXM stereo with six speakers.

The listing notes that the car was purchased by the seller in September 2020 and has roughly 10,000 miles (~16,000 km) on the clock. It is being sold with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, assorted spare parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.

The highlight of the Camaro Z/28 is its engine. Taking the form of a 7.0-liter naturally aspirated V8, it pumps out 505 hp and 481 lb-ft (652 Nm) of torque and is coupled to a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission sending power through the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential.

The Polestar 1’s complex hybrid powertrain delivers a combined 592 hp and 738 lb-ft.
