The Ti takes the Stelvio design to another level.

Alfa Romeo is a very premium Italian car manufacturer that started its life back in 1910, over a century ago, in Milan, Italy. The company has had a rich Motorsport heritage and a sheer passion for making some of the fastest and stunning looking vehicles. In the 21st century, the brand is making sure to manufacture vehicles according to the market trends. The company also began producing SUVs, and to kick-start this trend, and it launched the Stelvio in March 2003. It happened to be the first-ever modern-day SUV, and it took the market by storm due to its stellar design and amazing driving dynamics.

The cosmetic changes of the vehicle for 2021 made it look better than the previous model, along with some performance upgrades, which assured the overall package is up-to-date in regard to the competition. The Germans have always dominated the sports luxury SUV segment; however, now Alfa Romeo is set better than before to take its competition head-on.

The one thing that Italian cars have in abundance is the styling, as they are known to make some of the most stunning-looking cars in automobile history. The Veloce Ti is the sporty trim of the Stelvio, and it gets blacked-out accents throughout. The front headlamps offer an LED DRL and LED projector headlamps that have been given a smoke treatment for a much more aggressive look. The triangular-shaped grille at the front is perhaps the most iconic thing about this vehicle, as it is easily recognizable as an Alfa Romeo. It receives a gloss black treatment around it and houses the Alfa Romeo badge as well. The front bumper features two air intakes at the extreme ends, which are functional and help cool down the engine, along with the front hood having a bulging design, and it meets towards the A-pillar on both sides. The sides are dominated by the 21-inch wheels, which get a gunmetal finish and have a ten-spoke design.

The brake calipers are finished in red, adding a bit more aesthetic styling to the wheels. The side mirrors of the vehicle are finished in metallic black and have integrated LED turn indicators. The roof is also finished in black and accommodates a roof rail, which sadly is not functional as most of the area is occupied by the panoramic glass. As one approaches towards the back, one can't help but notice the sloping design of the roof that gives it sort of a coupe stance. The angle of the rear windshield is too steep for any SUV, and it does have rear visibility in a way, but adds a lot of styling quotient. There is also an integrated roof spoiler that contributes to the vehicle's aerodynamics. The tail lamps consist of all LED units and have a split design wherein half of the tail lamp is on the boot while the other half remains static on the C pillar. The vehicle's rear bumper extends below and even houses the circular exhaust on either end of it. They also integrate a diffuser that is finished in gloss black along with lots of parking sensors and gives the back end of the vehicle a clean and modern look.

The feature of a huge metal strut bar giving the chassis a bit more rigidity and firmness is the first thing noticed when the herd is open. The engine is also placed far back from the front of the vehicle, essentially making it a mid-engine vehicle. Powering the Stelvio is a 2-liter inline 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces nearly 280 HP and 306 lb-ft of torque. The engine is made to an 8-speed automatic transmission along with paddle shifters for when the driver wants to take manual control over the gearbox. The vehicle can make the 0 to 60 MPH sprint in just 5.4 seconds and a top speed of 144 MPH, which is electronically limited. The vehicle comes with rear-wheel drive as standard and all-wheel drive as an option on the lower trim and standard on the higher trims. The vehicle returns a fuel economy of 19 MPG combined, which is a fair number for any vehicle in this class.

For a sporty SUV, performance and other important things are to have a good list of safety features, and the Stelvio has that in abundance. The Italian crossover is available with a host of high-tech safety and driver assistance features. As standard, it only comes with autonomous emergency braking. As an option, it has a Lane departure warning along with Lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control as well.

To summarize, the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Veloce Ti has a stunning design, sublime handling and performance, setting it in a class apart from the German rivals. The Veloce Ti also offers a good value for money as it happens to be the mid-level trim, sitting above the Sprint and below the Ti Sport.
