There are rumors suggesting that Lexus will bring the LFA back to its lineup, but a final decision is still far away. Until that will happen, and you will get to enjoy a new generation LFA, you can go ahead and buy one of the 500 units that are already on the market. There’s a gorgeous 2012 Lexus LFA, unit number 75, with only 7,300 miles on the odometer listed on Bring A Trailer with a current bid is $725,000, but with four more days left, it is very possible for the final price to go way over $1 million.

The LFA’s design was led by Kengo Matsumoto, and the result was more than amazing at the time. But this particular unit has just the right features it needed to remain unique even ten years later. It is finished in red and features triple central exhaust outlets, a speed-sensitive rear wing, side air intakes, a vented hood, and bi-xenon HID headlights. While most of the car is in pristine condition, there are a few scrapes on the front bumper and carbon-fiber front spoiler. It rides on 20-inch BBS wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires and combined with red Brembo brake calipers and carbon-ceramic rotors.

The cabin is a combination of black and red: the 10-way power-adjustable seats are wrapped in red leather, while the dashboard, door panels, carpets, and headliner are finished in black. There are also a few carbon-fiber accents that give the car an even sportier look. On the tech side, the car comes equipped with a Mark Levinson 12-speaker surround-sound system, a DVD/CD changer, Bluetooth connectivity, voice command, navigation, and a hill-assist system.

Just like with any other LFA, this 2012 unit is powered by a 4.8-liter V-10 engine that was developed in collaboration with Yamaha. The engine delivers a total of 552 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque and sends all its power to the rear wheels via an Aisin six-speed single-clutch automated sequential gearbox and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The LFA goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and can hit a top speed of 202 mph.

The current bid for this 2012 Lexus LFA is $725,000, but there are still six days left, which means anything can happen. At launch, the LFA was priced at $375,000, but this one could go for triple that by the time the auction is over.
