The classic muscle car has been sitting in storage for 32 years before finally getting rediscovered and is now ready to become a project car.

Barn finds are surely some of the coolest cars out there. It's exciting to think that there are many vehicles sitting totally undiscovered, hiding from our view, and have done for decades, such as this Barn Finds 1970 Dodge Charger 500. The Dodge Charger 500 was, of course, created for NASCAR, and this particular example has sat in storage for some 32 years before it was finally rediscovered.

The Charger is currently sat on eBay for $32,000, although that isn’t at the reserve for the car. It is currently located in Medford, Oregon, and the Barn Finds article states that the car is almost complete and quite solid.

The year of 1970 saw the street cars of the Charger 500 lose their special appearance, and it largely became a trim option which filled up at least 60% of Charger production. The introduction of the Challenger perhaps was a reason why demand for the Charger dropped by 45% in 1970, and the Challenger was quite different from the Charger that had little to no changes since its introduction.

For anyone who is, in fact, interested in this Charger, it doesn’t look like it's set to be a big project. The car itself sat in a shop since 1990, and the current seller has apparently gone to town to try to fix whatever rust the car had, which is quite commendable.

The trunk pan was replaced, and new metal was also applied to the rear window wings and lip. Some corrosion was then found in the rear quarter panels, which got removed and patched up to avoid it getting worse. The paint was allegedly reapplied to the car sometime in the 1980s.

Inside, the interior is in reasonable condition, although the bucket seats certainly need reupholstering. The floorboards are well-preserved thanks to the carpeting taken out some years ago. The carburetor in the engine needs rebuilding, but the 383 ci V8 engine does run with some starter fluid, so you will get a running engine if you want to take a punt on this car. The front brake calipers were also removed, but will come with the car. This is a great project for someone, and it will put a desirable classic back onto the road.
