In addition to some neat trim, you also get a 10-horsepower boost on the SRT Hellcat Redeye

Dodge has announced new “Jailbreak” variants of its 2022 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody offerings, allowing customers to order various previously unavailable option combinations. The Jailbreak cars also receive a powertrain recalibration that boosts their output to 807 horsepower.

The Jailbreak cars are part of Dodge’s “Never Lift” campaign, which will launch a stream of new models and initiatives over the next two years.

Right now, the available options are just for appearance, but the automaker plans to launch Direct Connection for performance upgrades next month.

Available Jailbreak options include seven wheel choices; six exterior stripes and brake caliper colours; five seats and exterior badge finishes; and four options of steering wheels, floor mats, and seatbelt colours. These include Hammerhead Grey Laguna leather seats and belts; 20×11-inch Warp Speed Satin Carbon Wheels; and blue and yellow brake calipers.

“Roughly half of all Dodge customers modify their vehicles,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge Brand. “We’re taking most of the parts and pieces we’ve used over the years, adding a few new ones, and letting customers build their own ‘one-of-one.’”

For those who don’t want to “build their own,” Dodge will also offer two preconfigured Jailbreak packages. The “Old School” Challenger package matches an F8 Green exterior with the Warp Speed wheels, satin chrome grille and badging, Gunmetal Grey brake calipers, chrome fuel door, Hammerhead Grey floor mats and seatbelts, dark aluminum bezels, leather steering wheel with white SRT logo, and twill headliner.

Charger fans can opt for the Brass Funky Jailbreak, with Hellraisin exterior, sepia floor mat accents and Laguna leather seats, carbon-fibre bezels, Dinamica suede headliner, Alcantara steering wheel with white SRT logo, Brass Monkey wheels and grille, orange brake calipers, carbon stripes and black exhaust tips.

Other available combination packages include Red Dawn, The Classic, and Yin Yang. Fans can order Jailbreak models late in 2021. In Canada, the Jailbreak option package will add $1,295.
