Earlier this year, Dodge introduced the SRT Jailbreak option for the Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody models. The option enabled customers to choose color combinations that were otherwise restricted and some additional exclusive content. The brand has just announced that the popular choice will be expanding its reach to the 2023 Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat models of the beloved muscle cars, which are going away after next year.

By expanding the Jailbreak option to the 717-horsepower Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat for the 2023 model year, Dodge is providing even more owners with the option to build their own one-of-a-kind muscle car. Customers can choose from a variety of vehicle options, including seats, wheels, brake caliper color, exterior badging and stripes, and more.

For the 2022 Dodge Charger and Challenger Jailbreak package, there was a total of 20 different option categories, including seven options from seats, stripes, and wheels; six brake caliper color options; five exterior badging finishes; four choices for steering wheels; a variety of seat belt colors and floor mats; and all those just scratch the surface. It’s unclear if Dodge has added any new options for customers to choose from for the 2023 model, but if not, there’s still plenty to choose from where the only true limit is the customer’s imagination. Well, that and how much they’re willing to spend.

Dealer markups are still very much a thing, while the Dodge Charger and Challenger SRT Hellcat Jailbreak will be a cheaper alternative to the Redeye Widebody option. It’s hard to say how greedy dealerships will end up being, as we’ve previously seen markups for the 2022 Challenger and Charger SRT Jailbreak within the $20,000 range, adding a hefty addition to the cost of the vehicle. Either way, if you can manage to get a Hellcat with a Jailbreak package and avoid dealer markups, you’re in for having a powerful car that’s tailored to your style.
