A California investment company has acquired a Daphne-based manufacturer of automotive, industrial, energy storage and solar parts.

The sale of BBB Industries to Clearlake Capital Group for an undisclosed sum, which was announced back in May, has been completed.

Private equity firm Genstar Capital, which acquired BBB in 2018, will retain a minority ownership stake.

BBB Industries manufactures starters, alternators, hydraulic and air disc brake calipers, hydraulic and electronic power steering products, and turbochargers for the passenger, industrial, and commercial vehicle aftermarket industries.

The company also supplies rubber, metal, and rubber-to-metal products for the automotive aftermarket, while its newest division, TerrePower, transforms and repurposes used parts, such as electric vehicle batteries and solar panels.

BBB does business in 64 countries through five divisions with sustainable manufacturing facilities and distribution centers throughout North America and Europe.
